María del Mar Caja
She is an associate professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology of the School of Biomedical Sciences. A doctor of Chemistry, she developed her scientific career at the Industrial Fermentation Institute of the CSIC and at Julius Maximilians Universität Wurzburg (Germany) from 1997 to 2009. Her lines of research have focused on the search for chiral markers as indicators of food adulteration by developing new analysis methods based on combining instrumental techniques and using supercritical fluid technology. She has been working at Universidad Europea de Madrid since September 2009, where she teaches several subjects in the field of General Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Instrumental Techniques, which she combines with coordinating undergraduate theses in Pharmacy.
